  Governing Body Put Down Education Because The Sad Facts Show Higher Education Leads Lower Bull Tollerance

  as lamented by members of the governing body higher education is causeing many to leave the organization and so it is demonized by them.. subjects the governing body would hate to see young one study are numerous.

  they would like to keep things very simple it is easier to control people.

  they would prefere to go backward in technology to the time the first printing presses back in the 16th century, that is the level they work best at.. .

  So glad I'm breaking the cycle in my JW family. I been promoting college for my daughter since middle school and she is in a fantastic college prep high school now. Although I have a great job now, I'm heading back to college in the fall. I've always disagreed with WT teachings on higher education and involvement in school sports. I only learned the TTATT a few months ago, but I have a whole new plan for my future that I'm really excited about. Carpe Diem!

  Whatever nonsense The GB is responsible for causing, tomorrow is a new day. We each have the power to start over. Also, I think if your topic left out the word jerks and bs, it would be piqué more interest by lurkers. And it's tolerance. Just saying.

  Cedars, I have posted on your site before, but now I'm getting a message that prevents me from commenting.

  What a bold move by your informant! Kudos to them and to you for all your research. This is quite some "new light" to ponder and as someone recently awakened, I hope this article gets a few more JW's thinking. One can only hope. Thanks for all your hard work Cedars.

  speaker said we should not partake because when jesus arrives he will take the remnat to heaven and the memorial will be no more.

  just as we will not partake then (because the memorial will not exist) it is only logical that we will not partake now.

  Roberta804, we rented a facility for ours. I haven't been able to get the exact amount of congregations attending, but could see at least eight, as we were in assigned areas. The total count was 1341 for all attending.

  i have lurked now and then, just decided to join.. my older brother and i were raised by our jw mom, but our dad was a non-practicing catholic.

  so we went to the hall, but were considered "weak" witnesses, since our family still celebrated xmas and birthdays, to appease my dad i suppose.

  as a kid, i loved these holidays.. anyways, when my brother was 17 (i was 13), he spent a few weeks with our cousins in ky, who are all gung-ho j-dubs, and upon his return, he decided he was going to be more "theocratic".

  My Wife's Father Passed Away

  well, the day finally arrived.

  everyone says we were expecting it...but, not really.

  my wife's dad passed away.. he suffered for many years and we were at odds about medications and intrusiveness, but he was just a man in great pain, desperate for relief.

  Sorry to hear of your loss. Is it possible to have a small celebration of life ceremony instead? I've attended two and it was a much more loving, healing affair than any funeral talk I've attended as a JW.
